Wolverhampton Council submits ‘brownfield only’ local plan for more than 9,000 homes

Local authority said it is not proposing development on green belt or greenfield sites

Wolverhampton Council has submitted its 9,000-home local plan to government.

The West Midlands local authority has allocated 43 hectares of ‘industrial land’ to support the delivery of 9,330 homes by 2042.

The sites will all be in urban areas, on brownfield sites comprising “poor quality” industrial land and plots or vacant properties.
