A stuttering economy combined with skills shortages and ramped-up housebuilding targets has put the sector on course for a challenging 2025, writes Sian Webster
The government’s target of building 1.5 million homes over the next five years is clearly ambitious – and it could bring with it key opportunities that the housing sector has been calling for.
With a broken housing system failing to deliver though, that target will be impossible to reach in the current climate with several challenges around how and where these homes are going to be built.
