Leaseholders will have flexibility to make a claim immediately upon buying a property
A rule preventing leaseholders from exercising their rent to extend their lease for two years after purchase will be abolished at the end of this month.
Matthew Pennycook, housing minister, confirmed on social media he has signed the regulations to bring the change into effect.
