Trade body wants equal access to funding for housing associations and residents

The chief executive of the National Housing Federation (NHF) has urged the government to end its ‘unfair’ building safety remediation funding regime following yesterday’s Grenfell Inquiry announcements.

The government yesterday published its response to the Grenfell Inquiry, accepting a whole range of recommendations including a new single regulator for construction, a new products regulatory regime, an appointment of a new chief construction adviser in Whitehall and a review of social housing management organisations.
