Dorset-based builder names Shaun Pettitt as first external managing director
Dorset based housebuilder Wyatt Homes has appointed former Bellway exec Shaun Pettitt to be its new managing director.
The £50m turnover housebuilder, which operates across Dorset, Somerset and Hampshire, has appointed Pettitt as part of a reshuffle which will see Wyatt founder David Wyatt become the firm’s chief executive.
Pettitt, a former local authority planner, had from 2020 been an MD at Bellway, leading its Wessex division, and had been at the firm since 2018.
Pettitt said it was a “huge privilege” to have been appointed as Wyatt’s first external managing director. “This is a key moment for the business as we look to further invest in scaling up our output over the next few years, whilst still maintaining the quality and high standards,” he said.

Founder David Wyatt said the business had plans to “significantly grow” and “raise our profile”.
He said: “I’m confident that Shaun will be integral to helping us deliver our goals with the support of our exceptional team here at Wyatt Homes.”
Wyatt Homes currently has developments in Wimborne, Puddletown and Charminster in Dorset, Yeovil in Somerset and North Baddesley in Hampshire.
The 51-person business reported a pre-tax profit of £6.89m in the year ended June 2022, a near fourfold increase on the prior year, on revenue of £49.7m, more than double the 2021 figure.
