WM Housing has struck a deal with Matrix Housing Partnership to deliver 680 homes over the next three years.

Matrix, led by Accord, is a partnership formed of Midlands-based housing associations managing a collective 30,000 homes.

In July the partnership was appointed a strategic partner to governmenent agency Homes England, which agreed to hand over £77m to Matrix for the provision of 2,257 homes by March 2022.

Now Birmingham-based WM Housing will ramp up its delivery of affordable homes from 400 to 550 a year as it works with Matrix towards its goal.

Nick Byrne, executive director of development at the firm, said: “Matrix Housing Partnership is absolutely the right partner for us to be working with because it is made up of organisations we already have great relationships with in our region.”

Besides Accord, Matrix is formed of Rooftop, Trent and Dove, Trident Social Investment Group, Watmos Community Homes and Black Country Housing Group.
