Housebuilder will allocate 5% of plots to self builders
Vistry has bought a site in Devon for 726 homes.
The £215m scheme in Wolborough, to be built on a 97-acre site, will include one and two-bed flats as well as a range of homes, with 145 of the houses to be affordable.
The £1.8bn turnover listed housebuilder said 36 of the plots on the site will also be made available to self-builders.
Vistry has agreed to pay £1.75m towards pedestrian and bicycle improvements, playing pitches and bus services.
This month Vistry raised end-of-year profit expectations for the group, formed in 2020 from the merger of Bovis Homes and Galliford Try’s housing businesses, for the second time in four months.
