UK sees New Year house price bounce, says Rightmove

But prices remain 2% below the level of October 2022 and enquiries down a third on this time last year

Average UK house prices are 2% below October 2022’s record and buyer enquiries are down 36% compared to this time last year, Rightmove has said.

While prices have risen by 0.9% in January, meaning an average house in the UK was £362,438, the estate agent warned “it’s still early days”.
