Group formerly known as Kier Living completes hat-trick of appointments of current or former Persimmon directors
Tilia Homes has hired Persimmon executive Simon Perks to head up its western division.
Perks has 34 years experience in the industry including more than six years as managing director of Persimmon’s south west and Cornwall division.
The announcement follows the appointment of former Persimmon executives Nigel Greenaway and Andrew Hammond. Greenaway was hired as chief executive in December and Andrew Hammond as divisional managing director, acting as number two to Greenaway initially, last month.
As regional managing director, Perks will be responsible for leading Tilia Homes Western’s development programme and the division’s 70 staff. Tilia Homes Western built 375 homes last year.

Greenaway said: “Simon’s sector knowledge, his expertise and his understanding of the regional market made him the ideal candidate to take over the reins of our Western business.
“He has an impressive track record in the south west and has the experience and drive to significantly scale-up our business in the region.”
Tilia Homes was created last June following the acquisition of Kier Living by private equity firm Terra Firma.
In the 12 months to June 2021, the business completed around 1,500 new homes.
