Incoming Taylor Wimpey chief executive Jennie Daly and Storey Homes managing director Katy Jordan will help the building sector face its challenges in delivering more homes
Taylor Wimpey chief executive in waiting Jennie Daly and Storey Homes managing director Katy Jordan are to be appointed to the Home Builders Federation Board in the coming months.
Daly takes over at £2.8bn turnover Taylor Wimpey next Tuesday and the day after will take up her board membership with the HBF at the annual general meeting. Jordan will become an HBF board member on 1 July.
Both Daly and Jordan are part of the government-backed, independent New Homes Quality Board that is overseeing the setting up of the New Homes Ombudsman.
HBF executive chairman Stewart Baseley said they both brought a “wealth of knowledge and experience” with them.
“I am delighted to welcome Jennie and Katy to the HBF board,” he said. “Both bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience that will enhance the board further at a time when the industry is facing a number of complex issues. I look forward to working with them to find solutions to the challenges facing home builders so that the industry is in a position to deliver even more quality new homes”.
Daly joined Taylor Wimpey from Redrow in 2014 as UK planning director and is now group operations director, in which she oversees the land, planning, design and technical, production and supply chain functions, in addition to managing the Taylor Wimpey Logistics business. She was appointed a director in April 2018 and in February it was announced she would take over from current chief executive Pete Redfern in April this year.
Daly said: “I look forward to working with the board and its members in the months and years ahead.”

Jordan said she was “thrilled” to be appointed to the HBF board. She added: “I have admired the work that has been undertaken over the years, and I am eager to bring my own experiences and knowledge to the board to continue this success.”
Jordan will take up her board membership at the HBF AGM on 27 April and Daly will join from 1 July
