Housing Today is calling on people under 30 to take part in a piece of vital research which seeks the views of young people about the future of the construction sector.

Jointly conducted with Housing Today’s sister titles Building and BD, the survey is available online and seeks to find out the views of those either studying for a construction qualification or already working in the industry.

Construction suffers from serious skills shortages and urgently needs young people to join the industry to plug the gaps.

But it has struggled to overcome negative perceptions of careers in the sector.

Housing Today wants to hear from the industry’s next generation who can use this as an opportunity to tell construction’s leaders what they think of working in the sector and what could be done better to meet their professional needs.

Readers are encouraged to forward the survey to young colleagues for them to complete.

Click here to take the survey. The deadline for responses is Friday, 5 April 2019.
