Well-known chief customer officer leaves organisation with immediate effect
Sue Shirt has stood down from her role at housing association Stonewater following a cancer diagnosis last year.
Shirt worked at 40,000-home Stonewater or its predecessor organisation Jephson since 2010 in a variety of roles, most recently as chief customer officer.
In a message on the social media site LinkedIn, Shirt said: “After much heartfelt reflection and following my cancer diagnosis last year, I have decided to leave Stonewater.
“I have agreed with Nick [Harris, chief executive] and the board to step down from my role as chief customer officer, customer experience, with immediate effect.
“I have loved working for Stonewater and the housing sector - it has been a privilege to serve our customers. I know that the organisation is in strong hands as it marks its 10th birthday and am thankful to have been part of that journey.
