David Ripley will join 40,000-home in the summer from Thirteen Group
Stonewater has appointed David Ripley as its new chief operating officer (COO).
The association, which manages 40,000 homes and operates in 134 local authority areas, has today announced Ripley will take up the role in the summer.
Ripley will join Stonewater from Middlesbrough-based Thirteen Group, where he is executive director of customer service.
He will effectively succeed Sue Shirt, who stood down from her role as chief customer officer in January following a cancer diagnosis.
Nick Harris, chief executive at Stonewater, said: “We’re delighted to welcome David to the Stonewater team. He is a seasoned executive whose expertise and passion for great service really stood out among the many diverse candidates, alongside his strategic thinking capability.

“His experience in the new consumer standards will undoubtedly strengthen Stonewater’s already robust approach to compliance in this area and continue to drive our Customer Promise, as well as our vision of everyone having the opportunity for a place to call home.”
Ripley is also a board member at 75,000-home provider Riverside and is a trustee at Stonewater’s charitable arm the Longleigh Foundation.
