Retirement home provider says Amanda Holgate will join them on 1 February
Amanda Holgate, chief financial officer at Southern Housing Group, is moving across to take on the same position at Anchor Hanover from 1 February next year.
Holgate becomes the £528m-turnover retirement housing provider’s CFO following the promotion of Sarah Jones to chief executive last August.
Jones had been the CFO but took over from long-serving boss Jane Ashcroft after the latter announced her retirement earlier in the summer.
Holgate has worked in the housing sector for more than eight years. Her previous roles have included deputy finance director at Family Mosaic and director of finance services at Peabody.
She worked in a range of sectors for 20 years before joining the housing sector, including financial services, technology and retail asset management.
Of her appointment, Holgate said: “I am very excited to be joining Anchor at such an important time for older people’s housing and care.”
Anchor plans to build 5,700 new homes by 2031. It has formed a development partnership with retirement housebuilder McCarthy Stone, which has to date unveiled six schemes to develop 600 homes.
Anchor provides affordable rent, extra care, retirement villages and residential care homes.
