The affordable housing team is growing, with hires from the Regulator of Social Housing and an associate consultant
Savills has appointed two housing regulations experts as directors of its affordable housing consultancy.
Maxine Loftus has joined the firm from the Regulator of Social Housing and Julian Paine has taken on a permanent role after working as an associate consultant at Savills for three years.
They will both work as directors in Savills’ governance, risk and regulation team, led by former assistant director at the Regulator of Social Housing, Kelsey Walker.

In her role as director of regulatory operations at the Regulator of Social Housing, Loftus was responsible for preparing for consumer regulation changes.
Paine has delivered consumer standards reviews and corporate governance assignments in his role as associate consultant at Savills.
“Both [hires] bring exceptional talent and strong understanding from their past roles and will be heavily involved in helping our clients to navigate a period of significant development for their organisations,” Walker said.
