dRMM founding director one of four new appointees to government’s housing delivery agency
Sadie Morgan, a founding director of architect firm dRMM, is one of four new appointees to Homes England’s board, the government has announced.
Morgan, who is also a commissioner and design group chair of the National Infrastructure Commission, said: “As part of the board’s agenda to build more sustainable and high-quality houses, my energy will be focused on delivering homes for people and places.
“I understand how vital the role of Homes England is to help house our nation, and I am committed to ensuring we do so and to deliver a quality of life everyone deserves.”
Morgan is also a columnist for Housing Today’s sister title, Building.
The three other new Homes England board appointees are Vanessa Murden, chief operating officer for Lloyds Banking Group’s retail division, Nationwide Building Society finance director Mark Rennison and Olivia Scanlon, chief operating officer at Orchard Global Asset Management.
The quartet of new faces have started their Homes England tenures with immediate effect and will serve a term of three years. The Homes England board meets between eight and 10 times a year and members are required to work three days a month, according to a spokesperson.
Last week Homes England confirmed the permanent departure of chairman Sir Edward Lister, who has taken up the post of prime minister Boris Johnson’s head of strategy.
Lister had worked on Johnson’s campaign to win the leadership of the Conservative party in July.
The Homes England chairman role will be held by the agency’s non-executive director Simon Dudley until permanent replacement has been recruited.
