Latest exclusive Housing Today boardroom data published today
The proportion of housing associations reporting higher completions quarter-on-quarter has risen, according to exclusive data from the Housing Today Boardroom.
The latest data from the premium service shows 40% of housing association development directors reported higher completions in the final quarter of 2023, compared to the previous quarter. This is up from 27% for the same periods last year. The percentage reporting a fall over the same period has also, dropped from 32% to 20%.
Meanwhile, the majority of respondents (87%) saw starts maintained or increased in the final quarter of the year compared to the previous quarter – up from 77% a year ago at the close of 2022.

Initially, the Boardroom Barometer panel comprises development directors from leading housing associations, but the panel will eventually expand to cover developers, housebuilders, councils and others, UK-wide.
