Gleeds’ worldwide chair joins three other appointees to property firm’s board
Richard Steer, the worldwide chair of consultant Gleeds, has joined the board of This Land, Cambridgeshire county council’s arm’s-length property development firm.
Launched in March 2018, This Land is working on more than 20 schemes across Cambridgeshire and aims to build more than 1,700 new homes across a range of small and large developments.
Steer, who was named Personality of the Year by Housing Today’s sister title Building magazine in 2017, joins three other appointees to contribute what This Land’s chair and former Conservative transport minister Steven Norris said was “a level of experience and specialist expertise that is truly exceptional in their field”.
Property lawyer Susan Freeman, finance expert David Meek and former Countryside Properties non-executive director Jeremy Miller make up the quartet of new non-executive board members.
As well as residential schemes, This Land said it aims to deliver a range of mixed use, retail and commercial developments.
