Homes on an 11-acre site will be completed in 2022
Quintain, currently building more than 8,000 homes at Wembley Park in London, has been given planning approval for its first scheme across the Irish Sea.
The £69m 153-homes development in north Dublin is located on an 11-acre site in Portmarnock, next to another proposed Quintain scheme at Dún Sí.
It’s part of the developer’s wider ambitions to build more than 9,000 homes across four sites in the Greater Dublin area.
The developer launched in Ireland late last year with a view to developing 460 acres of land across Greater Dublin in Adamstown, Cherrywood, Clonburris and Portmarnock on sites owned by groups linked to US private equity firm Lone Star Funds.
The newly approved homes, designed by architect BKD, will provide residents with links to Connolly station, Dublin Airport and the Port Tunnel.
Construction of the 153 Portmarnock homes is expected to be completed in 2022.
Quintain is currently working on the UK’s largest build-to-rent development with over 5,000 rental homes and 8,400 homes in total at Wembley Park in north-west London.

Clonburris (part of the Adamstown site) – 350 homes
