The landlord, which manages around 10,000 homes in Tower Hamlets, east London, has announced Lord will join as chair in the summer.

Lord, formerly chief executive of 19,000-home landlord Bolton at Home, will join Poplar HARCA in the summer.

He will succeed Paul Brickell who departs after completing his 10-year term. Lord retired from his role at Bolton at Home at the end of 2022.

Lord said: “I’m thrilled to lead and guide the Board to ensure that we continue to prioritise the needs of our residents and the community.”

Poplar HARCA and Tower Hamlets Community Housing ditch merger talks

Poplar HARCA  last summer submitted plans for a £800m regeneration of the Teviot estate.

The project, delivered in partnership with Hill Group, includes 1,900 new homes, 35% of which will be for affordable tenures.
