Winson Green scheme designed by Whittam Cox for Rochda Group
Rochda Group has been given outline planning approval to build 451 apartments in Birmingham.
The Great Western Close development in Winson Green will see the transformation of 7.1 acres of derelict former railways sidings.
It includes one, two, and three-bedroom homes, as well as private balconies, terracing and shared amenity spaces for residents, delivered across seven buildings ranging between five and nine stories.
Parts of existing woodland on the site will be integrated into the masterplan.
Ronald Whitehouse, director at developer Rochda Group said: “We are pleased to have collaborated with Whittam Cox Architects on the Great Western Close development.
“Their expertise and dedication have been invaluable in bringing our vision to life. Together, we have crafted a transformative project that not only addresses the need for affordable housing but also enhances the fabric of the community.
“We look forward to continuing our partnership as we embark on this exciting journey towards creating a vibrant and inclusive neighbourhood for generations to come.”
