New scheme on the Isle of Dogs will deliver 35% affordable housing
A £312m development to deliver 579 homes, including 202 affordable units, in the Docklands area of London has been given planning consent by Tower Hamlets council.
Designed by architect Farrells, the mixed-use scheme will be spread across three buildings near Limehouse Junction and Marsh Wall on the Isle of Dogs, ranging from 23 storeys to 26 and 49 storeys in height.
The plans also feature a primary school for 450 pupils and a 12-storey business centre.
Another project by Farrells, Lyons Place on Edgware Road in the capital, will be the first housing scheme to feature a “vertiport” on the building’s roof to accept commercial deliveries by drone.
