Proposals for the One Lansdowne scheme were originally submitted to the local authority in June 2023 and subsequently updated in January 2024 and again in August as Greystar modified the designs to satisfy the council.

The ultimate proposals feature two independent towers of 50 and 31 storeys, to be built using volumetric offsite construction.

The scheme includes 806 build-to-rent homes, including 15% affordable, as well as 1,008 sq m of co-working space, amenities and retail areas.

Modular specialist Tide and Vision has been involved in the project, which was drawn up by architect HTA Design.

Earlier this year, Tide received planning approval for a 412-home student scheme in Ealing, having completed Europe’s tallest modular building, also in Croydon, in October 2023.

The project team also included Atelier Ten, AKT II and Montagu Evans.

Building work on the site, which is currently occupied by various office uses and a hotel,

is expected to commence at the start of next year and complete by August 2027.
