The company’s previous managing director is retiring after 20 years

Residential Management Group (RMG) has internally recruited a new managing director. 

Justin Herbert has been transitioning into his new role over the past few months with the support of Hugh McGeever, who held the position for two decades.

Herbert was previously operations manager at RMG and stepped up to his current post with 17 years of senior experience within the company. 

His achievements include doubling the business in the North of England and Scotland and introducing a centralised customer service centre. 

RMG, which operates under housebuilding social enterprise Places for People, looks after more than 144,000 homes across the UK. This includes managing Places for People’s leasehold properties throughout England and Wales.

Herbert said: “We now manage more than 144,000 homes with a sizeable pipeline of secured contracts across the UK and I look forward to growing our portfolio further.” 

Places for People owns a total of 240,000 properties and achieved a turnover of £849.6m in 2022-2023.
