Tom Casey will become Kent’s company’s sales and development director
Golding Homes Housing Association has named former Optivo executive Tom Casey as its new sales and development director.
Casey (pictured) joins the Kent-based firm on 18 March from Optivo, where he worked for more than two years as head of partnerships and joint ventures.
He was previously development manager at another Kent housing association, MHS Homes, and senior project manager at Amicus Horizon, which merged with Viridian to form Optivo in 2017.
Golding Homes plans to build more than 800 new homes in the next three years, having already built more than 1,200 new properties for shared ownership and affordable rent.
Schemes currently under development include 55 homes at Hermitage Lane in Maidstone, where 33 will be available through social rent with the remainder being sold via shared ownership.
Casey, who started his career as an equity trader for NatWest, said: “Golding has a great reputation for building quality homes and investing in its communities and I’m really looking forward to working with the team to drive forward an ambitious new homes programme.”
