The homes at Pier Way in Greenwich will be London Affordable Rent homes
Optivo has agreed a £30.2m deal to buy land to build 117 London Affordable Rent homes in Greenwich.
The homes at Pier Way will be delivered as part of the ‘Gallions View’ regeneration project, which is being led by developer Fairview New Homes.
In total the project will deliver 333 homes on 1.9 hectares of land.
Ian Hagger, director of land and new business at Optivo, which revealed in June its starts had more than halved in two years, said: “We want to tackle the housing crisis in the capital by providing modern, good quality, affordable homes.
”We believe this area in Greenwich provides the perfect opportunity to achieve this and will allow our residents to become part of an established community.”

The 43,000-home housing association will be delivering 107 one to three-bedroom apartments and ten three-bedroom houses on the site of a former care home.
Some of the homes it is building will be wheelchair accessible.
The site falls within the Greater London Authority’s Thamesmead and Abbey Wood Opportunity Area – which is earmarked for 15,500 new homes in the coming years
