Bronwen Rapley takes over from Steve Coffey

Onward Homes chief executive has been appointed as chair for the housing associations group Homes for the North. 

The new chair, Bronwen Rapley, has taken up the role with immediate effect following the departure of Steve Coffey who stood down after two years. Rapley is also the deputy chair of the National Housing Federation. 

Rapley said: “As chair, I will push for the delivery of more and better homes in the north and work with the next government to put in place the framework we need to make this happen.”

Homes for the North is an alliance of 17 housing associations which collectively deliver housing for more than one million people in the north of England. 

Rapley was previously the group director and company secretary at  29,000-home Your Housing Group and deputy director for investigation and enforcement at the Homes & Communities Agency.
