Ulfat Hussain to join Arawak Walton on 21 October

 

Manchester-based Arawak Walton has appointed Ulfat Hussain as its new chief executive.

The black and minority association, which manages 1,200 homes, has announced Hussain will take over as chief executive on 21 October.

Hussain previously worked for 12 years at Bradford-based Manningham Housing Association, including two years as deputy chief executive. Before that he held roles at Great Places Housing Group and Home Group.

Hussain succeeds long-time chief executive Cym D’Souza who retired last year.

Adrian Carridice-Davids, chair at Arawak Walton said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Ulfat as our new chief executive, he has a very impressive track record in housing at a senior leadership level.

Hussain said: “My first priority will be to meet with residents and visiting our communities to understand more about the issues facing them today.”
