Plymouth Community Homes poaches Jonathan Cowie from Vivid
Plymouth Community Homes (PCH) has appointed Jonathan Cowie as its new chief executive.
Cowie, who is currently chief operating officer (COO) at Portsmouth-based Vivid, will join 16,000-home PCH in September when the current boss John Clark retires.
Cowie served four years as COO at Vivid and was previously CEO of Westminster’s arm’s length management organisation City West Homes and chief operating officer at Sovereign.
Cowie has also held managerial roles at national utilities and telecommunications firms, including BT.
Cowie’s appointment comes weeks after PCH published its new five-year corporate plan, in which it pledged to increase its housing stock by 10% “through development and acquisitions.”

Cowie said: “Plymouth is a city which is reinventing itself through regeneration and by attracting new investment, and PCH is integral in supporting this journey.
The association is currently regenerating the North Prospect estate in the city and has built 463 new homes as part of a plan to complete more than 1,000 in total through the project by early next year. The association completed 122 homes in 2021/22.
