720-home scheme will go to public consultation this month
Build-to-rent specialist Moda Living and its joint venture partner Apache Capital are set to launch a public consultation this month on plans for a £258m residential scheme in Birmingham.
The 720-home rental development is being proposed for Great Charles Street near the city centre. If would be the joint venture’s second scheme in Birmingham.
Moda and Apache’s 42-storey Mercian tower – Birmingham’s tallest – is currently being built after gaining planning and construction was backed by a £118m debt facility from US bank Goldman Sachs.
In December last year Moda won planning approval for the last phase of 139 apartments in a 500-home build-to-rent development on the site of a former Scottish & Newcastle brewery in Edinburgh.
A public consultation on the Great Charles Street proposals will take place at St Paul’s Church in St Paul’s Square on 26 and 27 February.
