Housebuilder poaches Redrow regional chief exec
Housebuilder Miller Homes has poached the boss of Redrow’s northern and midlands business to be its divisional MD for the North of England.
Warren Thompson will hold responsibility for Miller’s North East, Teesside, North west and Yorkshire regions and will join the housebuilder’s executive board. He will fill the role vacated by Stewart Lynes, who was earlier this month promoted to chief operating officer at Miller.
Thompson, who has spent time at Avant and Redrow in a 20-year housebuilding career, will report in to Lynes, who said he was “delighted” to welcome Thompson to the role.
“Miller Homes has performed extremely well in the North of England, with a 14% increase in completions in 2018 and Warren has the expertise to build on this and deliver further successes.”
Thompson said he was looking forward to working closely with Miller’s leadership team “to deliver high quality homes, superior customer service and continued growth in the North of England.”
In August Scotland-based Miller reporting half-year results showing completions up by 13% to nearly 1,700 homes, generating a profit of £78m, while launching its new Teesside region.
