Alex Stark joins the retirement living construction firm from Crest Nicholson
Retirement community developer McCarthy Stone has appointed a new managing director to run its London and south east division.
Alex Stark joined the firm just before Christmas, having spent the previous four years as a regional managing director at Crest Nicholson.
Before overseeing Crest’s eastern division, Stark held the same role at Redrow Homes. Prior to that he was a sales director at Barratt Homes London.

At McCarthy Stone, Stark’s role will be to manage a land and construction budget of £300m over the next three years.
The London and south east region is currently selling across 35 developments nd Stark will be looking to buy at least 12 new sites per year.
Stark said: “I’m looking forward to helping meet the housing and support needs of the ageing population and progressing McCarthy Stone’s strategy to provide more affordable retirement housing options for those in later life.”
The £434,000-turnover business is ranked 16 among the Top 50 Housebuilders of 2023.
