Ebele Akojie, who has been finance director at three G15 housing associations, is Golding Homes’ new deputy chair.
Maidstone housing association Golding Homes has appointed its chair of the treasury committee to deputy chair.
Ebele Akojie, who has been finance director at three G15 housing associations, assumed the new appointment last month at the 8,000-home association.
She has more than 20 years of board experience and was chair of the audit and assurance committee at Paragon Housing for six years.
Akojie said: “I look forward to working closely with the chair and my other board colleagues to help shape Golding Homes’ future, as it goes from strength to strength.”
Chris Cheeseman, board chair, anticipated Akojie would “excel as deputy chair”. “I’m looking forward to working closely with Ebele to achieve our vision,” she added.
Earlier this year, the Kent housing association saw its governance rating returned to G1 by the Regulator of Social Housing. It said the board was “instrumental in delivering” this.
Golding Home was formed in 2004 and has built close to 2,000 as well as investing more than £283m in regenerating homes and neighbourhoods.
