As a member of Magna’s executive board, Killoran will have strategic oversight of the Dorset and Somerset-based housing association’s finance, procurement, governance, risk and legal teams.

Rakodi has joined a re-structured team led by sustainability and investment director Paul Read.

Magna’s growth plans include a multi-million-pound investment strategy aimed at building new homes and making existing properties net zero ready.

Killoran has over 25 years’ experience in executive leadership and consultancy roles. He has previously worked in director of finance roles in the NHS in Devon.

He left to start a career in consulting, supporting teams and organisations across the public sector, with a particular focus in the health and care sector.

Selina White, Magna’s chief executive, said that Killoran “brings invaluable experience from other relevant sectors and will play a key role in helping us increase capacity and secure funding to build new homes and refurbish existing properties, so more local people have a secure and safe place to live.

“His keen eye, coupled with a compassionate approach, make him a perfect fit for team Magna.”

Before joining Magna, Rakodi spent over seven years at Inland Homes, where he held several positions, including senior development manager, land development director, and group land development director.

The company entered administration in September 2023 after struggling to obtain a waiver for a £13.6 million loan covenant breach with HSBC.

In his various roles, Rakodi helped residential developers with development management, securing planning consents, and negotiating complex land and construction agreements.

Earlier on in his career, Rakodi worked as a senior regeneration officer at Reading Borough Council.

On his appointment, Rakodi said: “Magna has timed its land and construction plans well and is ready to continue to play its part locally in this significant work.

It’s great to see that Magna is ‘open for business’, well-funded and actively seeking new opportunities to deliver sustainable homes – including using unique precision-engineered homes, manufactured in our region for our region.”
