Pair to be known as Codi Group from next year
Two merged Welsh landlords have announced the new name for their combined organisation.
Linc Cyrmu and Pobl Group finalised their union in April 2024, creating an expanded group that manages more than 23,000 homes in the country.
From 1 January 2026, the pair will be known as Codi Group, a name which comes from the Welsh word for ‘rise’.
The organisation said the name was chosen to recognise its “deep-rooted Welsh identity and our desire to meet the expectations of our customers and the opportunities that lie ahead”.

It said there would be “no immediate changes” to the service delivery for its customers and that the old names would continue to be used occasionally, with the new name to be introduced gradually over the course of next year.
The full change will take effect in January 2026.
Scott Sanders, group chief executive of Pobl Group, said: “Over the last year, listening to the voices of our customers and colleagues, we have collectively started to shape how we look, what we do and who we are.
”Now, it’s time for us to become Codi Group, a single organisation shaped by shared values, a unified purpose, and a commitment to doing more for our customers and colleagues. ”
He added: “At a time when change is happening faster than ever, integrating as one team with one mission creates a stronger, more resilient, future-ready organisation deeply connected to its local communities.
“We are excited about the future and the opportunity we now have, building more of the quality affordable homes that Wales needs and delivering more, and better, services for our customers, in the communities where they live.”
The group has plans to deliver more than 4,500 homes over the next five years.
