The new role will see Savage (pictured) lead L&Q’s development division in the capital, which is working on schemes at Barking Riverside and Beam Park in Rainham, and overseeing the group’s strategic partnership with the GLA.

As head of L&Q’s south region business Savage was responsible for work on developments including the Kidbrooke Village regeneration scheme (pictured) in south east London.

Last month L&Q said it would be buying more than 600 of the homes which are due to be built on the £1bn Kidbrooke Village scheme by Berkeley Group.

Currently being built by Berkeley on the site of the old Ferrier Estate, the development (pictured) will eventually see around 5,000 homes delivered across the 136-acre site, which spans either side of Kidbrooke Park Road in south-east London.

Fiona Fletcher-Smith, group director of development and Sales at L&Q, said of Savage’s elevation: “We are delighted to be welcoming Vicky into this important new role. London has never been more important to L&Q, and Vicky’s expertise will be vital for us as we invest to deliver the homes that the capital needs.”
