Regeneration specialist appointed to advise Chinese-backed residential developer
Chinese-backed developer Cloud Wing has appointed regeneration specialist Jackie Sadek as a senior adviser to help it promote major proposed developments within the government’s Oxford-Cambridge growth arc.
The firm has two major sites within Bedford as well as other land holdings within the “arc”, upon which the government has unveiled plans for the construction of one million homes by 2050.
Cloud Wing’s projects include plans for 1,000 homes on the site of the former Stewartby brickworks. Sadek, as founder and chief executive of UK Regeneration, has received planning permission for 1,500 homes in a new community east of Biggleswade in Central Bedfordshire, and was formerly an advisor to business secretary Greg Clark.
Shen Kan, director of Cloud Wing, said Sadek had an established track record, “specifically with regards to place-making, sending out a strong message to our partners that we are putting a team in place to make these ambitious placemaking projects a reality.”
