North Yorkshire offsite specialist building more than 30 units for Blackberry Hill scheme
Vistry has appointed offsite specialist Ilke Homes to build more than 30 homes at a scheme in Bristol.
The work is part of the listed housebuilder’s regeneration project at the former Blackberry Hill Hospital site in the city which includes close to 350 homes along with commercial space.
Ilke will manufacture 32 homes at its factory (pictured) near Knaresborough in North Yorkshire.
The firm will supply the modular homes directly to Vistry, rather than undertake any of the development of the site.
The total delivery time for the 32 homes is expected to be four months, roughly half the time it would take using traditional construction methods.
It is Ilke’s first scheme in the South West since it opened a Bristol office last month. It has also recently opened new offices in Birmingham and London.
