Scheme for 42 homes is Ilke’s first on Network Rail land
Modular housebuilder Ilke Homes has signed a deal with housing association EMH to take on 42 affordable homes it is building on a former Network Rail site in Nottinghamshire.
Ilke secured the 2.2-acre site close to Beeston station last summer in its first ever deal with Network Rail, and has now sold the scheme to EMH to turn it into a mixture of two- and three-bed homes.
The scheme is one of the first where the offsite builder is acting as a “turnkey” developer for a housing association – delivering land, planning and construction for new homes.
EMH is a strategic partner of housing quango Homes England, which has announced all strategic partners will have to deliver 25% of homes using MMC.
