Build-to-rent specialist set to add 256 homes to growing residential development

Hub, Wembley Link, Phase Two

Plans to build more than 250 homes in a second phase of the Wembley Link build-to-rent development in north-west London have been approved by Brent council.

Backed by investor Bridges Fund Management, developer and build-to-rent specialist Hub will build two towers 17 and 19 storeys in height, delivering 256 homes across a range of tenures, with some for private sale and others for rent at a range of discounts.

Hub is already working on the first phase of the scheme at the Wembley Link, which aims to connect Wembley stadium with Wembley town centre and will deliver 239 homes in two towers of 21 and 26 storeys.

It recently developed build-to-rent schemes the Rehearsal Rooms in Acton and the Material Store at the Old Vinyl Factory in Hayes.

Hub managing director Steve Sanham said: “Wembley Link will provide high-quality, thoughtfully designed homes across a range of tenures, as well as much-needed green space to the wider community.

“We’ve worked closely with interested parties in the local community to ensure that the continuation of the Wembley Link story is a positive one, and that public use is maintained within the new garden area.”

Work on phase one is expected to finish in the middle of next year, while phase two construction is is forecast to begin in the middle of this year, subject to a Section 106 agreement.
