Official ONS figures reveal residential construction activity increased by 32% in July

The volume of housebuilding work grew by a third in July as it continued its recovery from the collapse in output seen during lockdown.

Figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), release today, show that despite a rise of 32% in housing construction work during the month, the level of output remains far below the level seen in February, prior to the covid outbreak.
