Barratt and Hill among firms to claim spots on Oxford City Housing programme

Council-owned Oxford City Housing has revealed the firms it has picked to help it build more than 2,000 low-carbon homes across Oxfordshire over the next decade.

In total seven companies won places on the two-lot framework, which is set to run for the next decade.

Barratt and Hill were among the firms to claim spots on the deal’s most valuable lot.

The pair were joined by contractors Engie Regeneration and Osborne, with the quartet set to be in the running for projects worth more than £8m.

Three firms claimed spots on the lot that will deliver smaller scale projects, including offsite specialists Buildeco and Impact Modular.

Thames Valley-based Feltham Construction was the final winner on this lot.

OCHL said it wants to build 2,245 new homes on sites across the county.

The council’s housing company said wants to either achieve 40% carbon reduction from the Future Buildings Standard or build to Passivehaus standards.
