Average cost of a UK home increased by 0.1% in the last month of 2023

The fall in UK house prices eased at the end of last year with the average cost of a UK home increasing by 0.1% in December compared to the previous month.

The small uptick contributed to a fall in annual house price inflation in the 12 months to December to -1.4%, from November’s revised estimate of -2.3%.
