Housebuilder also promotes company veteran to construction director role
Hopkins Homes has appointed Countryside veteran James Linnett as its new commercial director.
Linnett held the same title at his previous employer, where he began his career as a quantity surveyor and worked his way up through the commercial team.
In the 14 months to 30 June 2022, Hopkins’ latest accounting period, the firm recorded revenue of £245m and completed more than 800 homes.
Chris Severson, interim managing director, said Linnett was “a perfect fit” for the business as it attempts to “sharpen” its commercial operations.
Hopkins Home was bought at the beginning of last year by private equity investment firm Terra Firma for an undisclosed firm.
Alongside Linnett’s appointment, the East Anglian housebuilder has announced the promotion of its own Jamie Howe to construction director.
Howe has worked at the firm since 2001, beginning as an assistant site manager.

Severson said the promotion was “a testament to [Howe’s] unwavering dedication and exceptional contributions to Hopkins Homes over the course of 22 years”.
“We take great pride in nurturing and acknowledging talent within our business,” he added.
