Tony Parker has been promoted to the group finance director role
The Hill Group has appointed Tony Parker as its new group finance director, after his predecessor recently retired.
Parker has been promoted from residential finance director to the role of group finance director. He takes over from Neil Williams, who had been in the role since 2011.
Parker joined Hill in 2009 as a financial controller and has been a finance director since 2011. Before this, Parker was a finance director at the construction firm Kier and a senior manager at KPMG, where he worked for 13 years and specialised in real estate and construction.
The Hill Group said that during his time working for the South-east housebuilder, he has established key joint ventures and robust financial strategies which have enabled Hill to grow from a turnover of just under £100m when he joined, to revenue of £716m in the company’s latest accounts.

In 2015, Parker negotiated a £150 million credit facility backed by NatWest, HSBC, Santander, and Lloyds, which supported land acquisition for Hill’s 2015-2020 business plan. The facility now stands at £220 million and runs until 2026.
In the group finance director role, he will be tasked with setting the financial agenda for Hill’s 2025-2030 business plan.
The role combines Parker’s previous role as residential fiinance director with the group finance director position previously occupied by Neil Williams.
Parker will manage the finance team across the group which is set to grow from 25 to 30 people, with the support of Robert Jessop, who was appointed deputy group finance director towards the end of 2023.
Andy Hill OBE, group chief executive of The Hill Group, said: “Tony’s track record of expert financial management and deep understanding of our business model made him the ideal individual to oversee our group finance function.”
Parker said: “I am honoured to step into the role of Group Finance Director at The Hill Group. Having been part of the company’s journey for over a decade, I’ve seen first-hand the company’s evolution, and I am excited to contribute further to our strategic goals. This new role presents the perfect time to bring together our financial operations and drive growth as we look towards the next market cycle.”
