Joint venture will deliver 417 homes on £550m scheme east of Cambridge
Housebuilder Hill Group is to use its joint venture with Marshall Group to build out the 417-home second phase of the Marleigh scheme outside Cambridge.
The joint venture is already on site with the 547-home first phase of the £550m scheme, which is set to deliver 1,300 homes overall.
As well as homes, the scheme will see the construciton of a market square, a two-form entry primary school and a community centre, alongside public parks, woodland and allotment gardens.
Andy Hill, chief executive of £600m turnover Hill Group, said Marleigh was a “landmark” development which will transform East Cambridge. He said: “As two family run, Cambridge companies, we share the same vision and commitment to building inspiring and sustainable communities, which will stand the test of time.”
Richard Howe, managing director of Marshall Group Properties, said the first phase of the scheme was already well underway, and that the first residents of Marleigh will move into their new homes soon.
