EDI board advisor for the NHS and housing consultancy owner steps up as housing association’s chair
Hightown Housing Association has elected a new chair of the board following its annual general meeting.
Qadeer Kiani will replace Bob Macnaughton, who has held the position since 2017.
Kiani steps up with more than 30 years of housing sector experience, including as the former chair of Arhag Housing Association, which provides homes for migrants and refugees in London, as well as vice chair and secretary of Vision Care for Homeless People, a charity providing free optician services to those without a home.
Kiani has also served as a board member at Inquilab Housing, English Churches Housing Group, Stadium Housing Association, Passmore Regeneration Group and Brent Local Strategic Partnership.
He is currently an equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) board advisor to the NHS Midlands and Lancashire commissioning support unit, alongside running his own housing and management consultancy practice, QK & Associates Limited, established in 2007 and based in St Albans.
