North London development also features 78 affordable homes
Haringey Council has given unanimous approval for a mixed-use scheme including 636 student bedrooms in north London.
Asset manager Tri7 and student accommodation developer Fusion Group have brought forward the development, located on Lordship Lane in Wood Green, as a joint venture.
Plans would see four buildings of up to nine storeys built on the site of a now-vacant Bingo Hall and its car park
In addition to student bedrooms, the scheme will deliver amenity spaces, such as co-working and private study spaces, an on-site library and recording studio, dedicated cardio and strength training fitness areas as well as wellbeing yoga and sauna rooms.
It will also feature a two-storey atrium garden that links to an internal podium courtyard.
The development, which was designed by Costorphine & Wright, provides 78 affordable homes, of which 52 will be social rent and 26 shared ownership.
