Tom Smallbone appointed to new role at growing build to rent developer
Godwin Development has announced the appointment of Tom Smallbone to the role of head of residential development at the business as it continues its nationwide expansion programme.
The developer said it is looking for Smallbone to securing new sites for build to rent developments in key urban location such as London, Birmingham, Bristol and across the South east.
Smallbone joined Godwin in March 2020 as land manager, becoming associate director later that year, and has since been intimately involved in the firm’s growth strategy. He will report into MD Matt Chandler.
Chandler said Smallbone had played a “significant part” in the “tremendous growth” seen in the business in the last year.
“We are confident that through his leadership, ambition and energetic approach we will be able to create an even stronger platform of residential schemes across our key target locations and market sectors.”
The business is progressing significant build to rent schemes in Nottingham, Sheffield, Doncaster, Cambridgeshire, Milton Keynes and Derby.
