The £375m turnover housebuilder is ‘exploring the potential’ of moving into partnerships
Gleeson has promoted Helen Randerson to partnerships director.
The housebuilder is understood to be exploring the potential to move into partnerships and Randerson’s new role was confirmed via LinkedIn.
Randerson was appointed to the role in June 2023 having been with the housebuilder on and off for almost five years.
She was previously senior land manager, then head of land and, up until May, was land director.
Randerson joined the company for her second stint in late 2020, following a year as strategic land manager at Avant Homes.
Prior to joining Avant, Randerson had been group land and planning manager at Gleeson. She has also worked at Taylor Wimpey, having joined as a graduate trainee.
Housing Today can confirm the firm is currently looking into moving into partnerships, but that it has not yet opened a specific division of the business and is not currently in active conversations over partnership agreements.
The listed firm, which has historically sold houses predominantly to first time buyers, was hit by economic turmoil in the wake of the mini budget.
It said in a trading update in June that sales were down 14%. It sold 1,723 homes in the year to June 2023, down from 2,000 the year before.
In February, the £347m turnover business announced it was cutting around 15% of roles at the start of the year to make its operations “leaner”.
Gleeson is led by chief executive Graham Prothero following the departure of long-time boss James Thomson in 2022.
Gleeson declined to comment.
